  • A Simple Way to Support

We now have a simple donation page where people can give once or choose monthly support. Every contribution helps provide shelter, food, schooling, daily care, and greater stability for the children and caretakers in this community.

  • The First Breathing Room

In the days just before this website began to take shape, this care community faced a severe emergency.

The children and caretakers lost secure access to their rented home after many months of irregular payments and accumulated debt. For a brief period, they were able to sleep in borrowed classroom space at a local school, but this was only a temporary and fragile solution.

What followed was the beginning of something important.

Through the generosity of early supporters, the first emergency donations began to come in. Those gifts helped secure immediate shelter again, and then continued to grow.

As of this first update, enough support has been raised to secure roughly 3 months of bare-minimum shelter and food for the children and caretakers.

    This is a real relief.

    It does not solve everything.
It does not yet create stability.
But it does create breathing room.

That breathing room matters, because it gives this community time to move from constant emergency toward something more sustainable.

The immediate crisis was about helping children who had no secure place to sleep.

The deeper goal now is not just another emergency fundraiser. It is to build a wider circle of people willing to help carry this together through recurring monthly support, clearer communication, stronger transparency, and a more stable long-term foundation.

This website is part of that effort.

It is being built to bring together the story, updates, media, people, needs, and questions that naturally arise, so that support can grow through understanding and trust.

Thank you to everyone who has helped bring this first breathing room into being.

    This is only the beginning.

  • First update

This is the first public update from Orphan Sanctuary.
This page will be used to share photos, notes, and progress as support begins and the project develops.

  • Great News

    Dear Friends & Family,

Here is a thank you message from Kendrick and the Orphan Sanctuary.

    ❀️🌱🌸

“To every friend who gave to help save Wonders Orphan Sanctuary Uganda:

Thank you. Thank you for seeing our crisis and refusing to look away.

An eviction means more than losing a building. For our children, it meant losing the security of their school route, the comfort of their own mattresses, the neighbors who know their names, and the sense of family we have built together. Your donations helped protect all of that.

When we gathered the children to share the news, the room was quiet for a moment. Then came tears β€” not of fear this time, but of relief. One of our little ones whispered, β€œSo we don’t have to leave?” Because of you, the answer was no.

    As Proverbs 19:17 says:

β€œWhoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.”

You have shown that generosity to these children. We are holding you in prayer, and we will never forget that you helped keep our family together.

From our hearts to yours β€” thank you.”
