Who we are
We are a grassroots care community in Iganga, Uganda, caring for 57 children with the help of 9 caretakers.
This community did not begin as a formal organization. It grew from real need, real relationships, and a commitment to care for children who had nowhere else to go.
Meet Kendrick
Kendrick was orphaned at 6.
Over time, he began gathering children through care, shared life, and creative expression, including dance through Wonders Dance Academy.
What began as connection and mentorship gradually became a care community. Today, Kendrick continues to lead this work alongside caretakers who help support the children day to day.
How this community grew
This home formed gradually, not as a planned institution.
Children have been brought into the community over time because people trust Kendrick to try to help when there are no better options available.
Some children are full orphans. Others have one parent but lack stable care. The community reflects the reality of hardship, responsibility, and shared survival.
What stands out most is not perfection, but consistency.
Care has continued, even under difficult and unstable conditions.
What this work is becoming
This is still an early-stage effort.
The goal is not to present a finished organization, but to support a real community while building greater stability, transparency, and capacity over time.
The work is growing step by step, grounded in what is real, not what is imagined.
