They are the human center of this care community.

We want the children to be visible as real people within the life of Wonders—without turning their private childhoods into public stories or public case files.

That is why we do not build this page around individual child profiles.

It does not mean the children have less story.

It means those stories belong first to them.

Privacy Should Protect Childhood — Not Erase It

There is no single “Wonders child.”

The children connected to this community are individuals, even when we choose not to make their individual lives public.

A public website does not need access to a child’s hardest experiences in order to recognize their humanity.

No child should have to explain loss, hardship or family circumstances in order to appear worthy of care.

And we do not publish individual child profiles as a fundraising device.

Instead, we focus on something different:

the wider life of the community they are part of.

Everyday Life Is More Than Need

Wonders lives with real pressures around food, shelter, schooling-related needs, sleeping conditions and everyday care.

Those realities matter.

But they are not the whole life of the children.

Everyday community life also includes things such as:

friendship;
learning;
school-related routines;
music;
dance;
creativity;
play;
shared meals;
ordinary responsibilities;
time with caregivers;
and ordinary moments that simply belong to everyday life.

Many of the children participate in dance as part of community life through Wonders Dance Academy.

It is one of the creative activities shared within the community.

What Care Looks Like Around Them

The children are supported by 10 caregivers whose work overlaps across daily life.

That care includes practical things:

preparing food;
cleaning and laundry;
supervision;
helping children attend school;
supporting younger children;
maintaining the shared living environment;
teaching and guidance;
and responding to needs as they arise.

Seven caregivers currently sleep onsite with the children for nighttime safety.

Care continues through the day and into the night.

What We Protect

For child protection and privacy, Wonders does not publicly share:

full names;
exact birthdates;
personal or traumatic histories;
school locations or identifying school details;
medical information;
private family information;
or other sensitive details that children should not have to surrender in order for the community to be understood.

Real community media can help show everyday life, relationships, creativity and continuity while keeping private vulnerability private.

What We Are Working to Strengthen

Wonders is working toward stronger conditions around everyday childhood and care.

That includes:

more dependable food;
more workable and dignified sleeping conditions;
stronger continuity around schooling and daily routines;
better protection from preventable risks;
room for learning, play, music, dance and creativity;
stronger support for the caregivers;
and, over time, a more stable physical and organizational foundation around the community.

Together, these are part of the stronger foundation Wonders is working toward around everyday childhood and care.
