What Wonders is
Wonders has grown through local care, responsibility, creativity and persistence under real pressure.
It is not only a place with needs.
It is a living community of children and caregivers, with relationships, creativity, responsibility and everyday life already present.
The work now is to make that care more dependable while gradually strengthening the practical conditions around it.

Two connected responsibilities
Wonders is working on two different but connected responsibilities.
Help carry everyday care
Food, rent, caregiving and other basic needs continue every month.
The Stability Circle is the main recurring-support pathway.
Its first current goal is:
$1,500/month — Bare Minimum
This is the first meaningful recurring floor beneath staple-focused food, very crowded rental shelter and cooking fuel.
It is a starting point, not the whole operating picture.

Help build what comes next
The Development Roadmap lays out a three-phase path:
creative and economic capacity → Daily Dignity + first productive land → permanent sanctuary / stability
The current active chapter is Phase 1 — Creative Activation.
Phase 1 strengthens two complementary forms of practical capacity around what already exists at Wonders:
- communication, media, dance, Festival and relationship-building capacity;
- and the first locally controlled earned-income pathway through Wonders Café & Marketplace, beginning with bananas, firewood and charcoal.

Current Development Chapter
Phase 1 — High-Leverage Creative Activation

Phase 1 is the development chapter currently open for support inside the wider Wonders Development Roadmap.
It builds practical agency around strengths that are already present.
Create and connect
Phase 1 strengthens:
- communication and administration;
- locally controlled media and documentation;
- Dance Academy activity;
- the Community Dance & Arts Festival;
- the first Dance Residency pilot;
- and deeper relationship / collaboration capacity.
Earn and reinvest
At OWN, Phase 1 also begins Wonders’ first locally controlled earned-income pathway through Wonders Café & Marketplace.
The first model is deliberately simple:
BWC — Bananas + Firewood + Charcoal
Products people already buy.
A small business model that can be tested through actual purchases, restocking and reinvestment.
The larger idea is:
help Wonders create, connect, earn, reinvest and own more of the means to continue.
